The vision for Create Joy came during one of the most challenging periods of my life. After the sudden loss of my father, I found myself trapped in a monotonous cycle of long work hours and empty distractions. I was lost in my grief, filling my days with 80-hour work weeks and nights spent on autopilot, disconnected from anything meaningful. It felt like I was living the same day over and over, but I knew something needed to change—I just wasn’t sure where to begin. The turning point came when I inherited a 19-acre piece of land in rural Massachusetts, a place that was far outside my comfort zone. It was raw and remote, with no running water and a wooden toilet in the woods, but it quickly became a sanctuary. Over time, the quiet of the forest and the simplicity of the small town began to transform me. I found peace in the unfamiliar, and as I became part of the community, my priorities shifted. I realized that true growth comes from embracing uncertainty and learning to navigate life’s challenges with resilience. This land, and my father’s connection to it, taught me that stepping into the unknown is the key to personal transformation. It was this realization that inspired me to create Create Joy—a community where others could experience the same growth that I had. I poured my passion for travel, sustainability, and personal growth into building a space where self-awareness and intentional living are at the forefront. I dedicated myself to deep studies in sustainability, cultural immersion, and behavioral change, finding my Ikigai by combining my expertise and passions. Today, I live my personal growth journey daily, understanding that life is meant to be embraced, not just overcome. I believe that true meaning is found not in overcoming one hardship, but in embracing every moment—both the beautiful and the difficult—as part of the ongoing journey of discovery and wisdom.
